Yesterday’s concert at the 02 Arena is the first time Led Zeppelin played a full show since 1980, and this reuniting not only went over better than a flaming Hindenburg, but was much more successful than the Atlantic Records or Live Aid efforts. In fact, with Jonesy back in the fold, the event immediatley eclipsed any past Page & Plant get togethers.Speculation over the set-list was almost as exhaustive as the Battle of Evermore itself. Which way would they go? The hits? Acoustic numbers, ala Earl’s Court? Dark yet funky like on the Presence tour? Who knew. Well from all accounts (some of which I’ve included below) this was nothing less than an unbelievable night, and the final setlist proved to have enough for every kind of Zep fan. Here’s the setlist:”Good Times, Bad Times”"Ramble On”"Black Dog”"In My Time of Dying”"For Your Life”"Trampled Underfoot”"Nobody’s Fault But Mine”"No Quarter”"Since I’ve Been Loving You”"Dazed and Confused”"Stairway To Heaven”"The Song Remains the Same”"Misty Mountain Hop”"Kashmir”Encores:”Whole Lotta Love”"Rock and Roll”"What, no ‘Heartbreaker?’” You may be asking. I’m not asking. There’s plenty of hits to choose from, but even more impressive is the inclusion of album-cut, “For Your Life” from 1977’s, Presence. From what I hear in these clips, Robert Plant’s voice still cuts through Jimmy Page’s magical guitar, and John Paul Jones has found a solid partner in rhythm with Bonzo’s son, Jason Bonham, on the drums.Check out these links:ROLLING STONE PICSDAVID FRICKE’S COVERAGENME’s live song by song COVERAGENME’s “first review”MOJO MAGAZINE’s COVERAGEBBC’s COVERAGEtbl-19.jpgTIGHT BUT LOOSE COVERAGENME shot071211_142639_ledzeppelinticketl111207.jpgNY TIMES SHOT11zeppelin-6001.jpg
